1> Executive summary
- Since 2010, Matteo Colleoni has been an associate professor in Urban Sociology and he has hold the Chair of Urban Policies of the Department of Sociology and Social Research at the University of Milano Bicocca, Italy. His research and teaching works concern issues of metropolitan areas & urban change, urban sociology, urban mobility, urban & transport planning, time-space analysis and accessibility & transport exclusion. He has taught in several universities and high level educational institutes in Italy (Polytechnic of Milan, Polytechnic of Genoa…) and abroad (University of Brussels, Belgium, University of Grenoble, France...).
- At present he is member of the Scientific Committee of the Interuniversity Centre on Mobility and Urban Time (Mo.Tu), member of the IATUR (International Association Time Use Research), member of the Scientific Committee of the Mo.VE (International Forum on Sustainable Mobility in European Metropolitan Areas), member of the Teaching Committee of the European Doctoral Programme Urbeur (Urban and Local European Studies), member of the Teaching Committee of the Master in "Innovation and Territory" of the University of Grenoble and member of the "Ecole doctorale en science sociales" of the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
- He is member of the Steering Committee of the national Review "Sociologia urbana e rurale", Referee of the national Review "Archivio di studi urbani e regionali" and Expert Reviewer of the European Research Council Executive Agency (European Community). He is member of the Scientific Committee of the Transport Department and of the Time Policies and Quality of Life Department of the City of Milan and member of the Scientific Committee of several national and international Conferences.
- Research Scientist at the Department of Sociology and Social Research of the University of Milan Bicocca, his research works concern issues of mobility and metropolitan change and social-spatial analysis.
